Founded on the vision of bringing a comprehensive travel insurance solution to the United States, CSA Travel Protection got its start in 1991 with 10 employees. Nearly 30 years later, we’ve grown into one of the country’s top travel insurers. Changing our brand identity to align with our decade-long shareholder, Generali, builds on our company’s founding vision—we’re growing our relationship with a leading global insurer and strategic partner that can provide strong financial backing as both our business and the travel industry continue to thrive.
We bring the unique value of responsive, thorough service backed by one of the largest insurance companies in the world.
With our new brand identity—Generali Global Assistance—comes a more unified experiences for our valued partners and shared customers. As part of the Generali Group, a Fortune Global 500 company, we’re able to leverage the global scale, financial stability and resources of one of the strongest and most successful corporations in the world. Employing over 71,000 people in 60 different countries—all powered by a digital platform that allows us to administer the kind of support that your clients deserve—Generali has the ability to provide travel protection offerings where our partners need us to be through globally integrated underwriting, administration, technology and assistance platforms.
In addition to valuable insurance coverage, Generali travel insurance plans also include access to an international network of employees and partners available to provide the best possible travel and emergency assistance services worldwide—so your clients can travel with more peace of mind. All of our assistance services are provided by our stockholder, the Europ Assistance Group, which pioneered the emergency assistance concept in 1963. Today, EA Group provides assistance every 2 seconds worldwide 24/7 via 35+ multilingual assistance centers. They also manage 10,000 medical transports annually via air ambulance and commercial airline. Their wealth of in-house expertise, resources and technology enable them to provide turnkey logistical support for all types of evacuations.
While we’re building on Generali’s global support and resources, we’re also proud to maintain the spirit and service standards of a small company—growing the hands-on, dedicated account management, exclusive sales and marketing support, reporting solutions, and award-winning customer services and claims management that we’re known for. Expanding our support channels allows us to continue to administer our plans in-house—based out of our home office in San Diego, CA—where our company was first founded and where your clients can reach our dedicated customer service team seven days a week.
