Generali Global Assistance Appoints Philippe Gervais President of Travel Insurance

Generali Global Assistance ('the Company") today announced that Philippe Gervais has been appointed President of Generali Global Assistance's Travel Insurance company. Gervais will report to Chris Carnicelli, CEO of Generali Global Assistance North America, who oversees the Company's travel insurance and assistance, identity theft protection, and medical risk management business lines.

Gervais will be located in San Diego, the Company's Travel Insurance headquarters. Prior to joining Generali Global Assistance, Gervais was CEO of Europ Assistance Belgium, and brings extensive experience in all areas of global leadership. He started with Europ Assistance in 2003 as Director of Strategy and Acquisitions, where he helped bring CSA Travel Protection and GMMI into the Europ Assistance USA (now Generali Global Assistance) family of companies.

Gervais began his career in 1992 as a product and sales manager in the Nestlé group. In 1995, he joined Price Waterhouse Coopers as a Consultant and then Manager in charge of international missions of commercial strategies, distribution, and telecommunications. In 2010, he was named CEO of Océalis and President of Europ Téléassistance in charge of the French Business Unit. In 2014, he was named the CEO of Europ Assistance Belgium. Gervais has also served as the Secretary General of Afrata, a French association for remote assistance and holds a degree in finance and entrepreneurship from ESSEC Business School.
